Aftercare Planning

Looking into treatment for addiction?

Let Us Help!

Every Case is Different

A short stay at a residential facility is not always enough to sustain lifelong sobriety, with relapse rates often being the highest in early recovery. At Knoxville Recovery Center, we know that ongoing treatment increases the likelihood of maintaining sobriety significantly. That is why we have implemented an aftercare planning program.

What is Aftercare Planning?

Aftercare is designed for individuals who have benefitted from our introductory addiction services and are transitioning into a more intensive addiction treatment program. Once a client is stabilized, they will be encouraged to pursue continued addiction treatment. Our experienced case managers will then work with our clients to place them in a program that addresses their specific wants and needs.

At Knoxville Recovery center, we aim to facilitate a smooth transition into the addiction treatment program you are most comfortable with. Some clients prefer to stay close to home, while others believe that distance would be beneficial. Some individuals prefer longer-term treatment, while others feel more comfortable committing to a shorter time frame.

Why is Aftercare Important?

Research has shown that the longer a person receives help for addiction, the higher their chance for recovery success. Assimilating back into society without having developed healthy coping skills is dangerous, with most overdose deaths occurring directly following a residential treatment stay. For most, aftercare is imperative to maintain sobriety.

At Knoxville Recovery Center, your safety and health are our top priorities. The intention of our entry-level addiction treatment program is to get clients treatment-ready. Our aftercare planning case managers will work alongside you and address any concerns you may have regarding your transition to an outside facility and continued treatment.
